Mush - Breton Straw Hat
A Breton-style hat with a beautifully feminine silhouette. The upturned front brim creates an elegant charm that brightens the face.
A feminine Breton hat with an upturned front brim. Its charm lies in the elegant, gentle curve characteristic of straw, with its rolled-up brim edge and round crown. The raised brim brightens the face and gives a crisp impression.
It's an item that easily pairs with any fashion.
Features a rounded shape with an upturned brim
While straw hats cannot be folded, making them a bit inconvenient to carry, they possess many unique charms. These include the natural texture and coolness unique to natural materials. Straw shimmers slightly when exposed to sunlight. This is a unique characteristic of straw that artificial materials lack.
The coolness is proven by the fact that many farmers still use them. It is believed that the stem fibers themselves have countless invisible pores, which act as air holes after drying. Furthermore, because it's a slightly stiff material, even a long brim doesn't sag easily, making it useful for sun protection.
Material: Straw Sanada woven from seven wheat stalks
The main material used for straw hats is barley stalks. Seven of these stalks are braided into a "Sanada cord" shape, known as "straw Sanada," which is then used as the material. First, the Sanada, which is hand-braided strand by strand, is moistened with a spray bottle and then sewn. Next, it is shaped, dried in the sun to remove moisture, and then decorated.
This process of sewing, shaping, and decorating is divided among three people, resulting in one finished hat.
Founded in 1880 - A long-established company with over 100 years of history<
Straw hats are a traditional craft of Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture. Currently, there are few factories in Japan that can mass-produce them, and among them, Tanaka Hat Shop is a long-established company boasting over 100 years of history and tradition.
Straw hats are made using a unique sewing method where seven strands of straw are braided into a single material, and each one is carefully layered and sewn in a circular pattern by artisans.
"Straw," a natural material, is breathable and ideal for sun protection, making it an essential hat for summer. At Tanaka Hat Shop, popular straw hats for all genders and generations are still carefully made one by one using traditional methods.
Adjustable adjuster
A hook-and-loop fastener is installed inside the sweatband, allowing for size adjustment by pulling the fastener. The adjustment range reduces the stated size by approximately 1.5 cm. Even for those who don't need adjustment, it's useful for fine-tuning on windy days.

Sewing: A Test of the Artisan's Feel
Softened straw Sanada, soaked in water, is sewn using a hat-making sewing machine. Sewing begins from the "crown" part of the hat, called the "vortex," and proceeds in circular layers.
The artisan carefully sews while occasionally checking the size with a hat block. The finer the material, the more difficult the sewing becomes, and only a skilled artisan can create a beautiful shape. Hats sewn with highly skilled techniques are not only visually appealing but also offer exceptional comfort.
Local Winter Air Drying
Straw hats are sewn from autumn to winter in preparation for the following spring. Since the material is softened by soaking in water before sewing, the finished straw hats are then air-dried in the sun.
This process often takes place during the cold, dry winter months, hence it is called "winter air drying." The straw hats lined up across the ground have become a "seasonal tradition" of Kasukabe City.
Shaping: Giving the Hat Individuality
Using a dedicated shaping machine with attached molds, the hat is pressed and formed with water pressure. Depending on the design, the crown and brim may be formed separately using different hat blocks, each hand-steamed. With numerous molds available, various hat designs can be created by combining them.
Decoration
After shaping, decorations such as sweatbands and ribbons are added. Everything is done by hand, and artisans meticulously sew on the accent ribbons one by one.
Finishing
Finally, any fine straw "splinters" are removed. In straw Sanada, the surface skin of the straw can peel or sprouts can protrude when braided.
If worn as is, it would feel prickly and uncomfortable. For the wearer's comfort, each hat is smoothed by hand, and these rough spots are carefully trimmed. This is the thoughtfulness of the artisan, considering the wearer.

The Bodhi tree is a sacred tree under which Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment, and its fruit, the Hoshizuki Bodhi seed, has been treasured as a material for juzu since ancient times.
What is Hoshizuki Bodhi seed?
The Bodhi tree is where Buddha attained enlightenment. Bodhi seeds are considered exceptional among juzu materials, and this name was given because the black spots on the surface of the white seeds resemble stars and the small depressions resemble the moon. They are comfortable to hold and develop a deeper, richer color with age, allowing you to enjoy their evolving character. They are considered one of the three sacred trees in Buddhism, believed to bring immeasurable blessings and the greatest benefits.
They are said to have the power to bring purification, tranquility, harmony, tolerance, and guide one to a higher will.
Hoshizuki Bodhi seeds are characterized by their lightness and comfortable feel.
Ryumon Agate, also known as Dragon Agate, is a type of agate characterized by dragon-scale patterns.
The oyadama (main bead), niten-dama (disc beads), and bosa-dama (connecting bead) are made of Ryumon Agate.
By coordinating the Hoshizuki Bodhi seed juzu with a gentle impression in similar colors, the result is an elegant and profound finish.
Since ancient times, it has been believed to possess the power of a dragon, and has been treasured as a power stone symbolizing protection from evil, warding off misfortune, good luck, success, and advancement.
This juzu is made with slightly larger beads, with a main bead size of 16mm and an oyadama (parent bead) size of 18mm. It has a dignified finish and is recommended for larger individuals.
Comes in a paulownia wood box. Can be stored with care.

Through repeated consultations on material selection and color matching for the juzu, an elegant and beautiful juzu has been completed.
I hope to own a juzu that will last a lifetime, one that soothes and purifies the heart just by holding it, not only during Buddhist ceremonies.

Sweetness from raw honey only. A special jam with no sugar added.
MYHONEY Strawberry Jam Mashu Ruby
Sweetness from raw honey only. MYHONEY strawberry jam with no sugar added.
Do you wish you could eat more delicious jam but hold back because of "how much sugar it contains"?
Do you ever think, "If I'm going to get nutrition at breakfast for my precious self and family, I should put something more nutritious on my bread than jam"?
Strawberries, honey, and lemon juice.
"MYHONEY Strawberry Jam 'Mashu Ruby'", made with only natural ingredients, is perfect for a sugar- and additive-free, natural lifestyle.
A strawberry jam that's too delicious + too healthy
It luxuriously uses "Mashu Ruby" strawberries, produced by Oriental Land (Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture) in Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido.
By using MYHONEY's "raw honey" and a special manufacturing method, we have created a special strawberry jam that uses no sugar at all.
The honey we at MYHONEY use is unheated Hungarian acacia honey, which accounts for only 2% of the domestic market... it is "raw honey."
MYHONEY's "raw honey" refers to honey that has never been heated (above 50℃-60℃), and has the following characteristics:
・Because vitamins and enzymes are alive, high efficacy can be expected.
・It is refreshing, mellow, and delicious, with noクセ.
It is said that when honey is heated, over 190 types of enzymes it contains are destroyed.
While unheated honey is crucial to obtain its natural deliciousness and nutrition, 99% of the honey we purchase is heated due to considerations for transportation, packaging, sterilization, and manufacturing efficiency.
On the other hand, MYHONEY imports unheated honey from Hungary using a special transportation method. The transportation takes a long 3 months, as we transport it slowly to preserve its unheated state.
Certificate presented by the Hungarian Embassy
To verify its strict quality control, MYHONEY has obtained a certificate from the Hungarian Embassy. This certificate was obtained only by MYHONEY, which has been committed to delivering truly delicious "raw honey" unheated.
MYHONEY's raw honey has a GI of 28
The Hungarian acacia honey used by MYHONEY is also a low-GI food, recommended for those on a diet. The GI value quantifies the degree of blood sugar rise after consuming food, and a lower value indicates a gentler absorption of sugar and less burden on the body.
Empty calories, the story of "sugar"
MYHONEY collaborates with the Hokkaido volleyball team "Voreas Hokkaido." The background to this is the coach's words, "Most top athletes in the world do not consume sugar."
It is said that not consuming sugar is a global trend among professional athletes. This is because sugar is called an empty calorie (calories with almost no beneficial nutrients), and the idea that "excessive intake of refined white sugar can have a negative impact on the body and conditioning" is spreading from "food-sensitive communities" such as athletes and medical institutions.
MYHONEY products have collaborated with sports teams and beauty salons, and have been handled by medical institutions such as dental clinics and cosmetic surgery clinics, as part of an initiative to "replace sugar with honey."
Oriental Land's special strawberry, "Mashu Ruby"
The strawberry used in this strawberry jam, "Mashu Ruby," is a strawberry from Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido, named on October 15, 2019.
As the first local specialty strawberry, Oriental Land Co., Ltd. is producing it in the town by utilizing hot spring heat.
Mashu Ruby is characterized by its strawberry aroma, of course, but also its moderate tartness and sweetness. The encounter between Oriental Land's special strawberries and MYHONEY's special raw honey.
For your daily breakfast. For healthy snacks and desserts.
Just add a spoonful.
That's all it takes for a magical jam that your body will love.
Please look forward to "MYHONEY Strawberry Jam Mashu Ruby"!

As exemplified by the cormorant cages used in the Nagara River and Oze cormorant fishing, traditional livelihoods have been passed down in the Mino region, and alongside them are tools such as bamboo baskets still made locally.
【NPO Green Woodwork Association Bamboo Division】
The NPO "Green Woodwork Association Bamboo Division," which produced this bamboo basket, conducts activities such as "experiential workshops," "bamboo forest maintenance," "research," "custom production," and "bamboo craft classes" with the aim of preserving and promoting bamboo craft techniques.
The experiential workshops range from 2-3 hour sessions for experiencing bamboo weaving to full-fledged programs that take 2-3 days to experience all steps from splitting green bamboo to making bamboo strips. They also offer on-site workshops.
They also conduct bamboo forest maintenance to cultivate good bamboo material suitable for bamboo crafts, research traditional bamboo craft products mainly in the Mino region, and custom produce bamboo baskets for traditional fishing and industries, such as cormorant cages.
While conveying the charm of bamboo crafts to many people, they pass on the wisdom and skills of the Mino region to the next generation.
This teacup basket is woven using "mutsume-ami," one of the basic weaving patterns of bamboo crafts. It can be used as a draining basket after washing dishes, or simply placed on the table with tea utensils inside.
The raised base allows dishes to dry easily. Excellent in both usability and appearance.
Tightly woven bottom.
Every step, from splitting green bamboo to making bamboo strips, is carefully performed by artisans. A beautiful and highly functional item.

Purely domestic walnut basket bag.
This is a purely domestic walnut basket bag, carefully woven one by one
using walnut bark from Oku-Aizu, Fukushima Prefecture.
This is a work by Mieko Hasegawa from Mishima Town, Fukushima Prefecture,
a region known for its thriving woven crafts.
She is a skilled artisan, and her kind and cheerful personality
seems to be directly reflected in the warmth of her work.
Walnut bark has a beautiful grayish-brown, withered appearance, and as it is used, it gradually changes
to a deep, calm brownish-red color.
Compared to wild grapevines, the bark is softer, more flexible, and elastic.
It's lightweight and easy to hold, and its durability means it can be used for a long time, which is another attractive feature.
Its simple and natural texture makes it a versatile shape that can be worn not only with traditional Japanese clothing
but also easily matched with your everyday style.
It's easy to carry for both casual and elegant occasions, and suits any person or place.
No two walnut baskets made from natural materials are the same.
We deliver a beautiful, one-of-a-kind encounter.
A moderately sized, rounded handle that is easy to slip onto your arm.
The contrast created by using the back of the bark adds an accent.
The bark is trimmed thinly and evenly, and carefully and beautifully woven into an ajiro pattern using its surface.
The gusset is sturdily woven to maintain its shape.
The square bottom prevents contents from shifting.
The inside of the bag is lined with fabric,
and there are a total of three pockets on the left and right.
It also comes with a covering cloth, which is a nice feature for concealing the bag's contents.
(Image: This is walnut basket 2.)
[To customers purchasing walnut baskets]
Depending on storage conditions, walnut baskets may develop mold or insect damage.
As a natural material, walnut bark absorbs necessary humidity and releases excess moisture.
We recommend storing it in a well-ventilated, low-humidity place whenever possible.
Even when not in use, we suggest enjoying it as an interior decoration or storage basket in your room.
