BAN INOUE

What does it mean to live a rich life?
I don't think it means being surrounded by many things.
It means living each day carefully and with an aesthetic sense.
Cherishing the things around you with affection.
Having the space to feel the four seasons.
I believe such a way of living is truly a rich life.
Even from a single item, one can feel the seasons or a sense of delight.
What is needed for a rich life are such humble yet vibrant,
handmade yet neat items.
For every day spent with a rich heart.

BAN INOUE values the Japanese aesthetic sense and sensibility.

Color Concept

BAN INOUE's color concept incorporates the vibrancy of kimono color combinations,
and many of our color names evoke Japan's rich nature and four seasons.

We propose products in beautiful, "flamboyant" colors.

KAYA (Mosquito Net)
We have created everyday wear from the mosquito net material, a local industry of Nara.
Our goal was to create everyday wear that is easy to put on, comfortable against the skin, can be washed vigorously and dries quickly, and becomes wonderfully soft with use.

Our colorful items bring joy to daily life.
Mosquito net material allows wind to pass through but not mosquitoes.

Just as the Japanese once found peaceful sleep with this tool suited to a humid climate, we hope you can spend the hot and humid Japanese summer comfortably in everyday wear made from mosquito net material.
