BAN INOUE
CAYA Vegetable Bag A4 Size
Vegetable bag made from kaya fabric
Kaya, a traditional industry of Nara. Its excellent breathability and quick-drying properties keep your daily life clean.
A beautiful bag combining kaya fabric and Sanada himo (braided cord).
The old saying for kaya, "It lets the wind through but not mosquitoes," makes it perfect for a vegetable bag.
Place vegetables you wish to dry inside and hang it on a hook.
【Kaya (mosquito net fabric)】
---Kaya is the name of a coarsely woven fabric. Originally used as insect netting, it contains the character for "mosquito" (蚊).
BAN INOUE's kaya is made of 100% cotton and comes in vibrant colors.
【Characteristics of Kaya fabric】
---Kaya was originally hung as a mosquito net while sleeping.
It is a coarsely woven fabric with excellent ventilation.
It is woven with wide gaps between threads to allow air to pass through, making it extremely light and flexible.
However, as it is a woven fabric, it does not stretch.
【The appeal of Kaya fabric】
---When the "sizing" used during weaving washes off, each individual fiber expands, revealing the inherent softness of cotton.
Furthermore, as the fine fibers intermingle, it transforms into an even more skin-friendly, soft, and airy material.
It can be safely used by those with sensitive skin and children.
Vibrant colors
To bring out the beautiful and clean texture of kaya fabric, we are particular about dyeing it in traditional Japanese colors such as wisteria purple and yamabuki yellow.
Absorbent, quick-drying, breathable
Kaya is excellent in absorbency, quick-drying properties, and breathability. Therefore, it quickly absorbs moisture, dries fast, is less prone to unpleasant odors, and is hygienic.
Safe natural material: 100% cotton
To make the most of the softness of kaya, we do not use chemical fibers but 100% cotton. All manufacturing is done in Japan.
Sized to hold thin pamphlets
In addition to being a vegetable bag, it can also be used as a simple eco-bag or gift bag.

A lacquer bowl that can withstand a dishwasher.
