Kaya (mosquito net) --- Kaya is the name of a coarsely woven fabric. The character "蚊" (ka) is included because it was originally used as an insect repellent cloth.
BAN INOUE's commitment is to 100% cotton, vividly colored kaya.

Characteristics of kaya fabric --- Kaya was originally hung as a mosquito repellent when sleeping. It is a coarsely woven fabric with good ventilation.
It is woven using a method that leaves wide gaps between the threads to allow air to pass through, making it extremely light and flexible. However, as it is a woven fabric, it does not stretch.


The charm of kaya fabric --- When the "sizing" used during weaving falls off, each individual fiber expands, revealing the natural softness of cotton.
Furthermore, as the fine fibers intertwine, the material becomes even softer on the skin, transforming into a light and airy fabric. It can be used with confidence by those with sensitive skin and children.

This "Oyako-Gamakuchi" coin purse has a retro charm. Made from soft cowhide, it becomes more appealing with use. When opened, there is another small coin purse inside, creating an "Oyako-Gamakuchi" (parent-child coin purse) structure.




Cards, driver's licenses, and tri-folded bills fit perfectly, making it convenient for separating change.




It's just the right size, with a plump look from the gathered opening. It holds more than it appears.




This coin purse has been a staff favorite for 14 years. Its soft texture has only improved with age.




The clasps, both inside and out, are "ball-shaped" for easy opening and closing, and can be operated with a single touch, which is convenient. It also keeps your belongings compact on days when you want to carry less.
