Wild Grape Vine Basket Bag by Yukihiko Tsutsui
Not too formal, easy to carry and style.
These basket bags embody Mr. Tsutsui's simple and honest character.

This is a medium-sized bag woven with a fine "amijiro" (mesh) pattern.
The bold yet delicate and beautiful handiwork can truly be called Mr. Tsutsui's forte.

"Wild Grape Vine Basket Bag" made in the satoyama (foothills) of Nagano Prefecture.
Mr. Yukihiko Tsutsui of "Yama-budo Kobo Tsutsui" (Wild Grape Vine Workshop Tsutsui)
creates these bags entirely by hand, starting from cutting the wild grape vines, which are the raw material.
The baskets made by Mr. Tsutsui utilize the natural vines, dynamically weaving in the original curves, thicknesses,
and thinnesses of the vines to create a profound charm.
While many overseas-made products lose their oil by boiling the vines midway through, preventing them from developing a luster even with use,
Mr. Tsutsui's wild grape vine baskets, carefully woven after being soaked in water, are
strong and grow more beautiful with each use.
These boldly woven baskets, exuding the power of nature, are easy to carry for both casual and elegant occasions,
and suit any person or place. No two wild grape vine baskets, made by utilizing nature, are alike.
We deliver a beautiful, one-of-a-kind encounter to you.

With a flat bottom and ample gusset. The wide gusset offers excellent storage capacity.

The handle joint is a characteristic feature of Mr. Tsutsui's work.
It is designed with strength in mind.

The gusset is sturdily woven, preventing it from losing its shape.
With a flat bottom, items inside won't shift around.

By using natural vines, differences in holes and colors are appreciated as beautiful characteristics.

Carefully cut with scissors instead of a cutter, the inside is also sturdy and beautifully finished.

The rounded handle won't hurt your arm when carried.
[To Customers Purchasing Wild Grape Vine Baskets]
Wild grape vine baskets may develop mold or insect damage depending on storage conditions.
Being a natural material, wild grape vine baskets absorb necessary humidity and release excess moisture. We recommend storing them in a well-ventilated, low-humidity environment whenever possible.
Even when not in use, we suggest enjoying them as an interior decoration or storage basket in your room.
*In case of insect damage
Mr. Tsutsui can replace the vines and repair them beautifully.
If purchased less than one year ago, repairs will be free of charge.
For baskets older than one year, repairs are possible for a fee (approximately 5,000 yen or more, depending on the extent of the damage). Please note that you will also be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs in such cases.
