Salted Lemon
A yellow jewel. Suruga Lemon-do's salted lemon brings a new depth of flavor.
Salted lemon is a traditional seasoning widely enjoyed in North Africa and the Mediterranean region, including Moroccan cuisine.
It's a simple preparation of chopped or whole lemons pickled in salt for several months. This salt curing ferments the lemons, adding a savory note to their acidity and transforming them into a rich, flavorful ingredient.
The thickened juice is perfect not only as a spice, but also for sauces and dressings.

Salted lemon made with generously-used lemons from Shizuoka Prefecture.
Suruga lemons are carefully cured for over three months with salt from "Arashio," Shizuoka's renowned salt producer, creating a refreshing and rich salted lemon that perfectly complements any dish.
It's a versatile seasoning that brightens up any table, from fried chicken and salted beef tongue to yakiniku, grilled fish, and salads.
Enjoy adding a small amount (about 7-10mm, the size of an adult's pinky fingernail) of salted lemon to your favorite dishes.
Be careful not to add too much, or it will be "too salty!"

Shizuoka, the citrus kingdom. Fragrant organic lemons.
Shizuoka Prefecture boasts a warm and temperate climate. Since ancient times, it has been renowned for its citrus production, particularly mandarins. We use only the rich, fragrant lemons grown in this blessed land. They are safe, delicious, and premium lemons, offering a rich aroma and crisp acidity.
