This authentic fedora matches a wide range of styles, from casual to jacket styles.
Unisex
When worn by men, it gives a wild and cool impression, and when worn by women, it gives a mannish and active impression.
It naturally blends in with everyday plain clothes, T-shirts, linen shirts, and jeans.
For women, it's a nice touch that it's easy to wear even with your hair tied back.

loved for generations.
"Straw" material, excellent for breathability and sun protection
While straw hats cannot be folded, making them a little inconvenient to carry,
they offer many unique charms.
These include the texture unique to natural materials and their coolness.
Straw gleams slightly when exposed to sunlight.
This is a unique characteristic of straw, as it is not an artificial material.
As for coolness, it has been proven by the fact that many farmers still use them, but
the stem fibers themselves have countless invisible holes,
which are believed to act as air holes after drying.
Also, because it is a slightly stiffer material, the brim does not easily droop even when extended,
making it useful for sun protection.
An authentic fedora that matches a wide range of styles, from casual to jacket styles.
The bow-shaped ribbon also creates a classic atmosphere.
A long-established store with over 100 years of history, founded in 1880.<
"Straw hats" are a traditional craft of Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture.
Currently, there are few factories in Japan that can mass-produce them, and among them, Tanaka Hat Store is a long-established company with over 100 years of history and tradition.
Straw hats are made by a unique sewing method where seven strands of straw are braided into one material, then sewn in a circular pattern, one by one, by artisans.
"Straw," a natural material, is breathable and perfect for sun protection, making it an essential summer hat.
At Tanaka Hat Store, popular straw hats for all genders and generations are still carefully made one by one using traditional methods.
Adjustable adjuster
There is a hook-and-loop fastener inside the sweatband, allowing for size adjustment by pulling the fastener.
The adjustment range reduces the size by approximately 1.5 cm from the indicated size. Even for those who fit without adjustment, it is useful for fine-tuning on windy days.

Sewing: A test of the artisan's touch
Straw braid, softened by soaking in water, is sewn with a sewing machine for hat making. Starting from the "vortex" or "crown" of the hat, it is sewn in overlapping circles.
Occasionally, the size is checked with a hat block as the sewing progresses carefully. The finer the material, the more difficult the sewing becomes, and only skilled artisans can create beautiful shapes. Hats sewn with highly skilled techniques are not only beautiful to look at but also exceptionally comfortable to wear.
"Kanboshi," a local winter tradition
Straw hats are sewn from autumn to winter for the following spring. Since the material is softened by soaking in water before sewing, the sewn straw hats are sun-dried.
This process is often carried out during the cold, dry winter months, hence it is called "kanboshi" (cold drying). The straw hats lined up across the ground have become a "seasonal tradition" in Kasukabe City.
Shaping: Giving the hat its individuality
Using a dedicated shaping machine with a metal mold attached, the hat is pressed and molded by water pressure. Depending on the design, the crown and brim may be shaped separately by hand-steaming with different wooden molds. With numerous molds, various hat designs can be created by combining them.
Decoration
After shaping, decorations such as sweatbands and ribbons are added. Everything is done by hand, and the ribbons, which serve as accents, are carefully sewn on one by one by the artisans.
Finishing
Finally, any fine straw "splinters" are removed. When straw braids are woven, the surface skin may peel or sprouts may protrude.
If worn as is, it would feel prickly and uncomfortable. For the wearer's comfort, these are cut one by one while stroking the hat with the palm of the hand. This is the artisan's thoughtfulness for the wearer.
