Odate Magewappa is a bentwood craft from Odate City, Akita Prefecture, designated as a traditional craft by the Association for the Promotion of Traditional Craft Industries in 1980.
"Odate Magewappa" is made using Akita cedar and has been produced for 2000 years without changing its manufacturing method. The unique texture of the wood, the beauty of its straight grain, and its high functionality enrich our lives and our hearts.
