Matsunoya's Medium Oval Hora Woven Handbag is an exquisite Made-in-Japan item meticulously crafted in Aomori Prefecture.
Akebi vine craftsmanship, which dates back to the Jomon period, utilizes the blessings of abundant nature and inherits the wisdom of our ancestors.
Among these, Akebi crafts from Aomori Prefecture use high-quality local Mitsuba Akebi as material, harvesting only the "vines" that grew that year from summer to autumn. Akebi baskets, woven over a long period, gain more luster with use. 
Akebi from Aomori Prefecture is known for its dark color and high quality.
It features a calm, somewhat withered, reddish-brown texture and beautifully expressive woven patterns.
