Characteristics of kaya fabric --- Kaya was originally hung as a mosquito net for sleeping. It is a coarsely woven, well-ventilated fabric.
It is woven using a method that leaves wide spaces between the threads to allow air to pass through, making it extremely light and flexible. However, it is a woven fabric, so it has no stretch.
The charm of kaya fabric --- When the "sizing" used during weaving comes off, the fibers of each individual thread spread out, bringing out the original softness of cotton.
Also, as the fine fibers intertwine, the material becomes even more skin-friendly, soft, and airy. It can be safely used by people with sensitive skin and children.
