Dishwasher-safe lacquer, developed after numerous experiments. It uses 100% natural lacquer, with no chemical coatings whatsoever. 
With a common bowl shape, it's easy to hold, and the slightly elevated foot makes it easy to bring to your mouth.
At 4.5 inches, it's larger than a typical soup bowl. It's the perfect size for noodles or rice bowls, and can even be used as a donburi bowl. 
While maintaining a traditional form, it features higher heat and durability than conventional lacquerware.

Echizen Kata-Urushi (Hard Lacquer)
It is said that lacquer reaches its hardest state 100 years after application, requiring many years for complete hardening. "Echizen Kata-Urushi" is a lacquer that can withstand dishwashers, achieving a hard coating through industry-academia-government collaboration with Fukui Prefecture and Fukui University.
The "Maga-nuri technique" (true coating technique) finishes the coating in a single application, carefully removing dust by filtering the lacquer repeatedly and applying it without leaving brush marks.
"Echizen Kata-Urushi" is finished with a unique shape and beautiful colors to suit modern lifestyles, making it suitable for daily use.
