Echizen Hard Lacquer (Echizen Kata-Urushi)
It is said that lacquer reaches its hardest state 100 years after application, requiring a long time for complete hardening. "Echizen Hard Lacquer" is a lacquer that can withstand dishwashers, achieving a hard coating film through industry-academia-government collaboration with Fukui Prefecture and Fukui University.
The "Shin-nuri technique," which completes the coating film in a single application, involves filtering the lacquer multiple times to carefully remove dust and applying it without leaving any brush marks.
"Echizen Hard Lacquer" is finished with unique shapes and beautiful colors to suit modern eating habits, and can be used as daily tableware.
