Yotsume Somebusa Gamaguchi (Kiss-Lock Purse), Regular Size 2

These coin purses are made from cloth dyed using a stencil dyeing technique.
They can hold more than they appear to, making them a convenient size not only for coins but also for small items.





They're large enough to hold a compact or lipstick, so they can also be used as a makeup pouch for going out.






The outer fabric is cotton woven with a rough texture, and the inner lining is carefully made from thick linen.





The brass clasp gives it a chic impression. It opens and closes smoothly.








The larger size can fit a 13cm hand cream horizontally.
The smaller size can fit a lip balm vertically.
It's also cute to have both large and small sizes in matching fabric.

At the tip of the Kunisaki Peninsula in Oita Prefecture,
surrounded by a quiet sea and gentle mountains in a nature-rich location,
"Yotsume Somefusha" is located.






●●● Bringing Dyeing into Daily Life ●●●

We want to create works that add a touch to everyday life.
We hope that by encountering Yotsume's dyed fabrics, people will feel refreshed or find their daily lives a little brighter.





Using dyeing techniques such as Katazome (stencil dyeing) and Tsutsugaki (freehand paste-resist dyeing),
most processes are done by hand.
Fabrics dyed by hand possess a unique "ambiguity" that machines cannot reproduce.
The outlines of lines may be slightly blurred, or the print may be slightly misaligned.
While not intentional,
this "ambiguity" is somehow interesting and conveys the warmth of human hands.
We aim to create such fabrics.

Yotsume Somefusha / Yuichi Ono

1982: Born in Hiroshima Prefecture
2003: Graduated from Hiroshima Art College, Graphic Design Department
2004: Apprenticed in dyeing at Yoshida Haten Co., Ltd.
2014: Began activities as Yotsume Somefusha
2015: Moved base to Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture, and established a new workshop
